Help Needed For Kawelu

A team of 10 people are headed over to Kawelu to lend a hand in the fund raiser, and to work with the children, (especially those with ringworm,), and to work on empowering the community by helping them to understand the importance of becoming self-reliant.

One of our main goals for Kawelu is helping them to purchase a green house.  We have been able to raise about $1000.  The cheapest green house is $5000.  That is made out of wood.  We would like to purchase one with a metal frame because it will last longer.  That one costs about $7000.

Having a green house at the school is vital because they will be able to grow crops year round, and now that they have a bore hole, they can use drip irrigation so the plants have access to water.

This green house will not only supply food for the students, but it will also become a source of income for the school.  The students will learn about new techniques in agriculture first hand as they work in the green house.

None of this will be possible with out your help.  Please help us to help Kawelu by going to:

http://www.theglobaloutreach.org/donate/

When you get to the page you can make a one-time donation to Kawelu by putting:  "Kawelu Primary School"  in the memo box.  This will give 100% of your donation to Kawelu.

Global Outreach Alliance is a wonderful non-profit organization.  You can donate to any of their projects.  Take a look at their website so you can see all of the wonderful things that they are doing to help people around the world.  You can help by donating to one of their wonderful causes, or you can get involved yourself by going on one of their life changing expeditions to:  Kenya, Uganda, Israel or Cambodia.  Join us and become part of the solution.
